A moment where I feel like my best or strongest self

For today’s post, I am talking about inner strength and how I feel my best when with my family and at home. For me, family is equivalent to love and being in a safe environment with them exudes love; love is powerful and has a way of strengthening us no matter the circumstances we face. Family is everything to me and the love from my family keeps me motivated and strong. When I am around my husband Olu and son Nolan, I always feel my best; I look forward to our Pizza nights on Fridays and game days in pajamas are moments I always cherish. On such days, I truly let everything down without being judged and those moments are some of my best. What about you? What moments do you feel like your best self? Share your moments.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I am proud to partner with Stage to support initiatives that benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This means a lot to me as I lost an extended family member from the disease and over the years, I have interacted with a lot of Breast Cancer Survivors. It is very important to keep promoting awareness of breast cancer and support through donations, volunteering to help those affected, sharing educational messages, inspiring stories and love. The power of love and positivity goes a long way in giving hope to those affected so they feel their best and channel their inner strength.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Stage is turning October into Pink October. Throughout this month, Stage will help raise money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) through various in-store and online activations. Stage guests will have the opportunity to give back throughout the month and share their moments of strength and inspiration.

This is how you can get involved, check out your local Stage Store or online.

• In-store: There are various events and opportunities to participate in i.e. sales of select “Pink” items with ​50% off purchase prices with proceeds from the sales going to BCRF.
• Online: During the month of October, for every #ipinkican moment (when you share using the hashtag on Facebook or Instagram, Stage will donate $1.00 to support Breast Cancer Research Foundation). You can find out more about Pink October at Stage.com/IPINKICAN.
