I am always raving about my love for denim and the comfort of wearing jeans. Being a mom has made be more appreciative of finding great pair of jeans and wearing it more often than usual. Wearing jeans doesn't always have to be casual. With a great pair of jeans, I can dress it up in heels and dress down in flats. A fitted pair of jeans can get me through from days to night including casual work day, happy hour and endless back-to-school shopping days. Here are 3 tips for picking the right jeans
- Try it on: You will never know what jeans fit or brand works best for you until you try different fits, styles and brands. You might have to try a couple of jeans to find that perfect pair. Once you find that fit and brand that works for you, then you can always order from that brand without having to try it on.
- Focus on fit: It’s all about the fit of the jeans and not about the brand or label. Different denim brands are cut differently. This means that your size might vary from one brand to another. The great thing about Stage stores is that you can find different denim brand to try on.
- Go Dark!: You can’t go wrong with dark wash. Darker wash jeans have formal and polish look. They are easy to dress up and down. It can be worn to work on casual work day or dressed down for errands and mom life. For that reason, dark jeans is one of my go-to denim washes.
For this post, I showcased different ways to style jeans from day to night. The first look with the polka dot off shoulder top is my “happy hour” /night time look. The dark wash jeans gives it a polished look that when paired with button down shirt or top also works as a business casual look. The second look is a more relaxed look/day time look. I paired the jeans with a fun graphic tee and sneakers for running errands especially since it’s back to school season.
