This week has been an exciting and nerve wrecking moment for us as Nolan started kindergarten today. It’s a bittersweet moment. It’s hard to believe my baby is now in kindergarten.  I have been cherishing and documenting those special moments leading towards his first day of school on my Instagram from back to school shopping to orientation day.

Preparing for back to school for him also had me preparing for fall work style. With cooler temperatures fast approaching, I figured it’s time to start picking up fall essentials and must-haves. White House Black Market (WHBM) is one of my go-to places for work styles and looks that can easily transition from board meetings to dinner. WHBM recently launched their newest fall collections and I could resist these suit pieces. I love pieces that I can restyle with different tops and bottom. I picked out the black suit set and style with white classic button down shirt. The tailored blazer and pants’ fit is amazing. You can’t go wrong with having a great pair of black pants for work. It’s versatile and can be worn with any blouse and shirt color. I restyled the pants with a colored blazer to add a pop of color.

It is not to early to start  shopping for your spring pieces. One big trend to look out for this spring is pastel suits. Colored suits are great addition to work style for spring. You can style your spring suits as a set or mix and match. This mustard yellow suit will be a  great addition for spring. I paired it with camel and neutral colors so as not to overwhelm the color. A style tip for wearing colored/spring suits without looking over-the-top is to complement the look with neutral or warm colors.
